A-Plus Rushed to Safety After Angry Residents Confront Him

Gomoa Central Member of Parliament, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A-Plus, narrowly escaped an attack by angry residents of New Winneba following a violent land dispute that left three people dead and 15 others injured.

The MP had visited the Effutu North District Police Command to obtain firsthand information on the incident and engage with security officials over the escalating tensions in the area.

The clash is reportedly linked to a land dispute involving residents from some communities in Gomoa and New Winneba.

However, A-Plus’ presence at the police command reportedly angered some residents who had gathered at the facility.

The agitated residents confronted the MP, creating a tense situation that forced security personnel to intervene and escort him away to prevent the confrontation from escalating.

The Central Regional Police Command, alongside other security personnel, was subsequently deployed to maintain order and ensure the MP’s safety.

Some residents who spoke to Adom News expressed frustration over the circumstances surrounding the violent incident and raised concerns about the longstanding tensions between the affected communities.

With three people confirmed dead and 15 others injured, security agencies are working to prevent further violence and restore calm to New Winneba as investigations into the clash continue.
