A fire outbreak has been reported behind the China Mall at Amasaman, prompting a major response from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).
Firefighters from four GNFS stations, Amasaman, Headquarters, Madina and Abelemkpe — have been deployed to the scene as they work to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby structures.
The incident comes just days after a fire ravaged a Duraplast factory in the North Industrial Area, destroying property and leaving several workers without jobs.
The cause of the latest fire, the extent of the damage and whether there are any casualties have not yet been established.
