Two Feared Dead, 28 Rescued in Kwashieman Crash on Good Friday Eve

Two people are feared dead while 28 others have been rescued following a tragic accident at Kwashieman in Accra in the early hours of Good Friday eve.

The crash occurred around 4:30 a.m. when a church bus travelling from Takoradi collided with a truck loaded with onions and yams en route to the Gomoa Dominase onion market.

According to reports, the bus was attempting to branch toward Sowutuom when the speeding truck, despite blaring warning horns, rammed into it.

Personnel from the National Ambulance Service at Ablekuma North responded swiftly to the scene, transporting 20 victims to the Weija Gbawe Municipal Hospital and eight others to the Ablekuma North Polyclinic for treatment.

Residents have commended the ambulance team for their prompt and professional response, which helped save lives.
