‘I Missed It’ — Prophet Bernard Nelson-Eshun Retracts Failed NPP Flagbearer Prophecy

Prophet Bernard ElBernard Nelson-Eshun has issued a public apology after his widely circulated prophecy on the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primaries failed to materialise.

In a statement titled “Public Statement & Apology”, the prophet admitted that his prophetic declaration that Kennedy Ohene Agyapong would win the NPP presidential primaries and emerge as the party’s flagbearer did not come to pass.

“I missed it. I was wrong. I am deeply sorry, and I ask for your forgiveness,” he stated, taking full responsibility for the failed prophecy.

Prophet Nelson-Eshun acknowledged that he made the declaration publicly through a book, videos, and several media interviews, a move he says caused many people to trust his word and, in some cases, make emotional, spiritual, and political decisions based on it.

“Because I spoke publicly with prophetic authority, many people trusted my word, and some were affected emotionally, spiritually, and politically,” he noted, adding that he accepts this reality with humility.

The prophet offered an unreserved apology to all those who felt hurt, disappointed, or negatively impacted by his pronouncement, particularly individuals who took decisions based on his prophecy.

Reflecting on the incident, he said the experience has forced him to pause and reassess how prophetic revelations are communicated, stressing a renewed commitment to accountability, discernment, integrity, growth, and truth.

He further apologised to believers in Ghana and across the world who felt wounded by the failed prophecy, stating that he regrets any doubt his actions may have caused regarding the voice of God and His ability to speak to His people.

“I offer my apology to any believer in whom my actions may have sown doubt regarding the voice of God and His ability to speak to His people,” the statement read.

Prophet Nelson-Eshun concluded by expressing gratitude to those who have corrected him “in love” and to those who continue to pray for him
