Two people have reportedly lost their lives, while several others sustained injuries after armed men attacked a passenger bus at Nasia, near Walewale in the North East Region.
The incident is said to have occurred while the bus was en route from Kumasi to Zibila. Although details remain sketchy, initial accounts from the scene indicate that the assailants were heavily armed.
According to citinewsroom, eyewitnesses suspect the attackers may have been armed robbers.
The identities of the deceased and injured victims are yet to be confirmed, and authorities have not issued an official statement on the incident.
Security agencies are expected to commence investigations as residents and commuters raise concerns over safety along the stretch.
