A shooting incident has resulted in one fatality and one person critically injured in the Sui Electoral Area of the Sefwi-Wiawso municipality, Western North region.
The incident occurred when Vincent confronted Prince Armah and Pizzaro over allegations of stolen mining equipment and gold dust.
According to eyewitnesses, the confrontation escalated into violence, with Vincent reportedly firing a gun. Prince Armah was shot dead at the scene, while Pizzaro sustained gunshot wounds and is receiving treatment at the Sefwi-Wiawso Municipal Hospital.
The Assembly Member for the area, Benedict Arthur, confirmed the incident in an interview with TV3, calling for calm as investigations continue. The community is in mourning, with residents expressing concern over tensions related to illegal mining activities.
The police have initiated a manhunt for Vincent, who fled the scene and is currently at large. The investigation is ongoing.
