Ghanaian international, Jonathan Sowah has revealed why he didn’t play for Hearts of Oak despite being a native of the Greater Accra Region.
According to Jonathan Sowah, he always wanted to play for Hearts of Oak growing up in Nungua but the Phobians rejected him when they had the opportunity to sign him.
The Singida Black Stars forward in an interview with Happy Sports said he personally went for trials at Hearts of Oak but was overlooked because he didn’t have any influential figure with him.
“I once went for trials at Hearts of Oak and was asked, ‘Who do you know? ‘That statement really pained me because I really wanted to just get an opportunity to do the trials.”
“Because of the pain in me about how I was treated, I always had an extra motivation to play against Hearts of Oak and perform while I was playing for Medeama,” Sowah said.
