The Chief Executive of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA), Michael Kpakpo Allotey has on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, begun his decongestion exercise in the principal streets of the city.
This initiative according to the Mayor forms part of a broader strategy aimed at restoring orderliness and improving sanitation in the capital city.
Michael Kpakpo Allotey before this exercise had warned street hawkers to start packing their belonging from street pavements because he will no tolerate such lawlessness under his leadership.
He said the decongestion exercise will also help the ease the heavy traffic in town and ensure a free flow of vehicles.
