Ashanti Regional Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Bosiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi has claimed that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is afraid of him hence the intimidation.
According to Wontumi, the NDC knows that his victory as the NPP national Chairman will become a threat to them in the 2028 elections hence the intense intimidation from the government.
He made this claims while stressing that his connection to the NPP’s grassroots and the rank and file makes him a credible threat because he will rebuild his party for victory in 2028.
“The NDC is after me and my businesses because they know if I become the next National Chairman of the NPP they won’t come back to power after 2028.”
“I appeal to both the rank and file of the party. The grassroots love me so that is why the NDC is afraid of me becoming the NPP National Chairman because a win for me is a win for everyone,” Wontumi said.
