The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association has sanctioned Nations FC forward, Emmanuel Annor for displaying religious message on undershirt after removing his jersey for a goal celebration.
According to a statement released by the Ghana Football Association, Emmanuel Annor will pay a fine of GH₵500 for displaying ‘I Love You Jesus on his undershirt to celebrate a goal in a Ghana Premier League game against Kotoko.
“Nations FC player Emmanuel Annor has been fined GH₵500 by the Disciplinary Committee for misconduct during their Ghana Premier League game against Asante Kotoko.”
“The Player was found guilty of displaying a religious message on his undergarment after removing his shirt in celebration,” part of the statement read.
The GFA also warned Emmanuel Annor not to repeat his actions or he will face severe punishment.
“He has also been strongly warned that any further misconduct will result in severe sanctions,” the statement from the GFA ended.
