Deputy National Communications Director of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ernest Owusu Bempah has said that the Acting Managing Director of the Precious Minerals Marketing Company (PMMC), Sammy Gyamfi committed no offense by giving out cash gift to Nana Agradaa.
Sammy Gyamfi who is the National Communications Director of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) went viral after a video of him handing over what appears to be dollar bills to Evangelist Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Nana Agradaa appeared on the internet.
Reacting to the viral video, Ernest Owusu Bempah said the NPP cannot score political points with this video because Sammy Gyamfi committed no crime in the video circulating.
He argued $800 is not any sigiicant money to Sammy Gyamfi becuase he was flying business class and driving land crusiser even when the NDC was in opposiition.
Owusu Bempah added that there is not a single politician in this country who doesn’t give out cash gifts so the hypocrisy should stop with immeidate effect.
