Former Education Minister Osei Adutwum declares intent to content for NPP flagbearership for 2028

Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, the former Minister for Education has officially announced that he will be contesting for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearership elections.

The Member of Parliament for the Bosomtwe Constituency in the Ashanti Region announced his decision in a Facebook post telling members of the NPP that he can secure victory for the party in 2028.

He touted his achievements during his tenure as the Minister of Education while urging party faithfuls to rally behind him because he is the party’s best chance of securing victory in 2028.

“In the silence of the noise, one man’s record speaks louder than mere campaign chants.

One man’s impact echoes across every region. One man’s vision is what Ghana needs for a total Ghanaian transformation. #TheAdutwumFactor,” he posted.

Renowned for his technocratic leadership and bold educational reforms, Dr. Adutwum has built a reputation as a results-oriented public servant.

His entry into the flagbearer race is expected to shake up the internal dynamics of the NPP and intensify competition once nominations are officially opened.
