Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential aspirant, Dr. Arthur Kobina Kennedy has claimed that former president Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo will not support Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to lead the party for 2028 elections.
According to Dr. Arthur Kennedy, Dr. Bawumia will not get the immense support he got from Akufo-Addo to win to the flagbearership race in 2024 again in 2028.
His comments come on the back of Dr. Bawumia’s comments blaming the decisions of the Akufo-Addo for his humiliating defeat in the 2024 elections.
“I’m saying that Akufo-Addo will not support Dr. Bawumia for 2028 if he decides to contest to lead the party,” Dr. Arthur Kennedy said in an interview with Alfred Ocansie on TV3.
He also condemned NPP’s Thank You Tour stating that the party needs to rather apologize to Ghanaians for mismanaging the country.
