A member of the legal team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Godwin Edudzi Tamakloe, has said that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is blaming anyone but himself for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) defeat in the 2024 elections.
Dr. Bawumia in his recent public statement blamed the decisions such as the introduction of e-levy and betting tax taken by the Akufo-Addo government for his humiliating defeat to president John Dramani Mahama.
Reacting to these comments, Edudzi Tameklo said Dr. Bawumia is indirectly blaming his boss, Akufo-Addo for his defeat and that is unacceptable.
He said Dr. Bawumia as the Vice president and Chairman of the Economic Management Team cannot put all the blame on Akufo-Addo when he was the expert in economics.
Edudzi Tameklo maintained that Dr. Bawumia needs to accept the sole responsibility for the NPP’s humiliating defeat in the 2024 elections and stop the blame games.
