Private legal practitioner, Martin Kpebu has urged the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) to tone down on their regular press conferences on the suspension of Chief Justice Gertrude Torkonoo.
President John Dramani Mahama on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, suspended Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo after setting up a committee to probe into allegations against her.
Reacting to this issue on TV3, Martin Kpebu said NPPs regular press conferences on the petitions against the Chief Justice is rather doing more harm to her interest in the court of public opinion.
Kpebu maintains that the case is against the Chief Justice and not against a member of the NPP so their regular press conferences is sending the wrong signal to the public.
