Ghanaian journalist and the managing editor at the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr has descended on former Vice president, Dr, Mahamudu Bawumia for his recent lecture on the management of the cedi.
According to Kwesi Pratt Jnr, the cedi under Dr. Bawumia as the Head of the Economic Management Committee depreciated so bad that it got to a time where Ghanaians needed 17 cedis to get a dollar.
His comments comes on the back of Dr. Bawumia lecture in the UK claiming credit for the cedi’s recent performance against the US Dollar and other major currencies in the world.
Kwesi Pratt while reacting to Dr. Bawumia’s statement, Kwesi Pratt said the NPP’s Candidate for the 2024 Presidential elections should be the last person to speak about the dollar.
