The Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA), Julius Neequaye Kotey has revealed that the agency is currently swimming in huge debts.
According to Julius Neequaye Kotey, he uncovered over $200 million and GHC300 million debt when he took over DVLA as the Acting CEO.
Neequaye Kotey in an interview with Joy FM on Thursday, June 19, 2025, said he has called for external auditing and will be able to give a proper updates to Ghanaians about the finances of DVLA.
“We uncovered $200m and GHC300m of debts when we assumed control of the DVLA. These were the figures we uncovered.”
“I’m not here to rundown anybody but this is what we saw when we took over. We have requested for external auditing and will be able to give proper,” Neequaye said.
