The youths of Kusaug, a suburb of Bawku in the Upper East Region has declared their readiness to work with the Ghana Police Service and other State agencies for peace to prevail.
In a statement sighted by Newsdeskgh, the swift response from IGP Yohuno to apologize both privately and public over the killing of one of their own is the reason why they have decided stand down and corporate with authorities.
The youths further called on other members of the community to forgive because the Zugraan has also “instructed everyone to be calm, forgive and ask the youth to tum a new page with the police.”

We give warm felicitations to the youth of Kusaug and pray that God protects every one of us in our determination to protect our sovereignty.
Following the recent happenings that has befallen us and our firm resistance and condemnation of the unwarranted killing of one of our own, we applaud everyone for the swift and passionate action.
However the equality swift response by the IGP following his visit to Zugraan and Kusang immediately after the incident is also an indication from him and the police service that they are determined to prevent a repetition of what happened.
The IGP privately apologized to our overlord, Zugraan and did same publicly to all of Kusaug. Zugraan has accepted the apology, since traditionally Kusaas do not reject apologies, Zugraan has instructed everyone to be calm, forgive and ask the youth to tum a new page with the police.
We therefore call on everyone to forgive and let go whatever that has happened so that Kusaug will rejuvenate.
By this we wish to assure the government of Ghana, the interior ministry, the Defence ministry, the National Security Coordinator, the regional security council, the Municipal Sccurity Council and precisely the IGP and Ghana police service that Zugraan has forgiven and for that matter Kusaug youth is ready to turn a new page with the police.
We are ready to work again with the Ghana police service and to make sure what happened will never happen again.
