Watch Kennedy Agyapong’s clash with Abronye in Berekum during NPP’s Thank You Tour

Former Assin Central MP, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, had an outburst on Monday, April 28, 2025 during Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s 2024 NPP Presidential Candidate thank-you tour held in Berekum in the Bono Region.

This incident followed remarks made by Kwame Baffoe Abronye, the NPP Bono Regional Chairman, addressing party members present.

In his speech, Abronye expressed doubt about the sincerity of individuals pushing for unity within the party, accusing them of previously fostering division.

He highlighted how such actions benefited the NDC during the 2024 election campaign.

Abronye also dismissed Mr. Agyapong’s proposal for pardoning suspended or departed party members, emphasizing discipline over amnesty.

Unhappy with Abronye’s stance, Mr. Agyapong, visibly angered, took the microphone to counter.

Without directly naming anyone, he warned that he wouldn’t be intimidated. He criticized certain individuals for acting as though they owned the party despite minimal financial contributions and reliance on begging. He emphasized his own status as a wealthy party member, asserting his right to express his views, and concluded with the phrase, “Who born dog!?”

Agyapong’s remarks sparked murmurs of disapproval among some attendees, reflecting unease with his tone and approach
