Vice president Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has returned to Ghana after her 45 days of medical leave in the United Kingdom.
The arrival of Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang marks the end of a period of treatment and recovery following her departure for specialized care.
The Vice president left Ghana in early April 2025 to seek further medical attention abroad after a review at the University of Ghana Medical Centre.
While details of her condition remain undisclosed, sources close to the presidency indicate that she is now in good health and ready to resume official duties.
The Vice president was welcomed at the airport by President John Dramani Mahama, First Lady Mrs Lordina Dramani Mahama, Chief of Staff Julius Debrah, the Vice President’s Chief of Staff Alex Segbefia and other senior government officials.
