Ghanaian professional footballer, Thomas Teye Partey, has been charged with two additional counts of rape following a fresh investigation by the UK Metropolitan Police into alleged non-recent offences dating back to 2020.
The new charges, announced on February 12, 2026, relate to allegations involving a fourth complainant.
The 32 year old footballer now faces a total of eight charges; seven counts of rape and one count of sexual assault involving four different women.
The original allegations are said to have occurred between 2021 and 2022, while the latest charges stem from alleged offences in 2020.

Partey is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on March 13, 2026, for a first hearing in relation to the new allegations.
His trial for the original six counts is set to begin on November 2, 2026, at Southwark Crown Court.
He has previously pleaded not guilty to the original charges. His lawyer, Jenny Wiltshire, has maintained that he denies all allegations and intends to clear his name.
Despite the ongoing legal proceedings, Partey remains on conditional bail, which allows him to continue his professional career provided he notifies police of any international travel.
He currently plays for Spanish side Villarreal CF, having joined the club as a free agent in August 2025 after his contract with Arsenal expired.
