This is purely political and dislike for former AG – Former Deputy Attorney General

Former Deputy Attorney General, Alfred Tuah Yeboah, has described the allegations against former Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame as purely political and born out of dislike.

According to him, the former Attorney General did nothing wrong and will be vindicated.

Speaking to the media outside the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) headquarters on October 6, while Godfred Dame was interrogated, Alfred Yeboah assured his composure.

“Interrogation just started. He’s well composed. He’s ready to face the interrogators,” he stated.

He touched on the former AG professionalism during his time in office, saying he exercised his duty with all diligence.

“I was his deputy and I can state without any convocation that he has done nothing to merit this kind of charge that has been brought against him.”

Mr. Yeboah expressed confidence that the truth would eventually clear the former Attorney General of all doubt.

“At the end of the day, truth will stand. Godfred will be vindicated,” he stressed.

He further claimed that he case is politically motivated and is as a result of dislike for Godfred Dame

“It’s also coming out of dislike for Godfred Dame,” he stated.

He added that the complainant in the case, Richard Jakpa, is aware of Godfred Dame’s innocence.

According to Alfred Yeboah, the matter would not have risen if the complainant did not go and see the Supreme Court judge, Justice Yonny Kulendi, to speak to Godfred Dame

“He knows that Dame is innocent but he still wants to persist. We are ready for him, Godfred is ready for him. The whole of Ghana will get to know the true facts behind these charges.”

The former Attorney General appeared at the CID today for questioning following ga invitation linked t a petition from Richard Jakpa, accusing Godfred Dame of manufacturing evidence in the Republic vs. Ato Forson case.
