Majority Leader, Mahama Ayariga has said that there is nothing questionable about the procedure to remove Chief Justice, Getrude Torkonoo.
According to Mahama Ayariga, he is surprised that Afenyo-Markin chose the vetting of Supreme Court Justices nominees to vent about the process to remove Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo when he had challenged the process in the Superior Court and has lost.
Mahama Ayariga who said there is nothing questionable with the procedure to remove the Chief Justice said president John Dramani Mahama has followed the constitutional requirements to the latter.
“The Minority spoke about the ongoing process relating to the removal of Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo, first I want to say that this is not the proper platform to question the processes relating to Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo.”
“Let me indicate that there is nothing procedurally questionable in terms of the processes that Justice Torkornoo is being taken through because the Constitution is clear in terms of what the process is and that process has been followed to the latter,” Mahama Ayariga said as monitored by Happy News.
