Sam George explains how his wife takes care of him at commissioning of six unit classroom block at Afienya

Member of Parliament for the Ningo Prampram Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Samuel Nartey George has explained how his wife takes care of him at the commissioning of a six unit classroom block at Afienya.

Samuel Nartey George in February 2025 made the headlines with the phrase “my wife takes care of me” during his vetting at the Minister of Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations.

When asked by the Ranking Member of the Appointments Committee and Minority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, whether he had any sources of income aside from his parliamentary salary, Sam George responded with a candid and lighthearted statement.

“My wife takes care of me,” he said with a smile, drawing laughter and warm reactions from the committee members.

However, Sam George while speaking at the commissioning of a six unit classroom block built by the Dzata and Joberg Foundation at Afienya, a town in his constituency clarified the statement he made at the Appointments Committee.

“Those of you who don’t have good marriages didn’t understand it when I said my wife takes care of me. If they have good marriages they will understand when a man says my wife takes good care of me.”

“You wake up in the morning and she choses your outfit for you to work and she takes care of your children. You return home and your children are in good conditions, that is a wife taking care of you,” Sam George said.

He also thanked Joberg Foundation for partnering with the Dzata Foundation to build the six classroom block for the people of Afienya.
