Sam George donates to Ningo and Prampram towards Homowo celebrations

Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram and Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has made donations to the Ningo and Prampram Traditional Councils in support of this year’s Homowo Festival.

The presentation, made on Tuesday August 12, included sacks of maize, gallons of palm-nut oil, cartons of assorted drinks, packs of bottled water as well as cash for both the Ningo and Prampram traditional areas.

At Prampram, the items were received by Nene Adebomtenya III, who expressed gratitude for the MP’s consistent annual support for the festival.

In Ningo, Nene Djangmah Osroagbo XII, Paramount Chief and President of the Ningo Traditional Council, received the items and commended Sam George for his contributions towards preserving the culture and traditions of the Ningo Prampram people.

The traditional leaders thanked the Minister for his interventions in supplying water to the communities but appealed for a permanent solution to the area’s water problem.

Sam George also assured them of his commitment to resolving the water crisis, announcing an interim measure to supply ten tankers of water to each traditional area.

The District Chief Executive for Ningo Prampram District, Hon. Raphael Uriel Nartey, and constituency executives were also present at the ceremony.
