Member of Parliament for the Assin South Constituency, Rev. Ntim Fordjour has won his defamation lawsuit against Stephen Cobbah and Yaw Korankye popularly known as Adepa and Ampong respectively.
The Cape Coast High Court after ruling in favor of the Member of Parliament also awarded him GH¢700,000 in damages.
The court also declared that statements published by the defendants on the Assinman Politics Gh WhatsApp platform on March 8 and 9, 2024, were defamatory.
The defendants were ordered to pay GH¢700,000 jointly and severally, along with GH¢20,000 each in legal costs.
The Cape Coast High Court also placed a perpetual injunction restraining Stephen Cobbah and Yaw Korankye from further publishing defamatory statements against Rev Ntim Fordjour.
