Founding Member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe has said that the best thing suspended Chief Justice, Gertrude Torkonoo can do for herself is to resign honorably.
According to Dr. Nyaho Nyaho Tamkloe, with about seven complaints being filed against her at the Presidency, he would have resigned to save herself and her family reputation before the committee finalizes their report.
The comment of Dr, Nyaho Nyaho Tamkloe comes on the back of president John Dramani Mahama’s decision to suspend Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo after setting up a committee to probe into allegations against her.
“If I was the former Chief Justice, I would have resigned to save the country, my family and my own reputation with all the chain of allegations coming up,” Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe said in an interview with TV3.
He also wondered why people are making noise about the situation when the committee haven’t even finalize their work.
“Why is there soo much noise when the president is just following due process? The committee isn’t finished with their work and hasn’t made any recommendations so why the noise?
