President Mahama’s 120-Day in office has been a failure – Afenyo-Makrin

The Minority in Parliament has accused president John Dramani Mahama of failing woefully to full his promises in his 120 days social contract with Ghanaians.

At a press conference on May 8, 2025, Minority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin dismissed Mahama’s national address as self-congratulatory and disconnected from the realities of ordinary Ghanaians.

“This is not just a speech; it is a call to remembrance and resistance. It is a forensic audit of the presidency that campaigned with the urgency of a reformer but now governs with the indifference of a ruler long exhausted by ideas.”

The Minority Leader further alleged that Mahama’s leadership is already faltering and entering what he called its “lame duck days.”

“Now the 120 days are over, the promises have collapsed, the excuses have run dry, the reckoning must begin. Let it be said plainly to every Ghanaian you were not given a reset; you were sold a recycled failure.”

Afenyo-Markin also accused the government of betraying the trust of the electorate by prioritizing political convenience over genuine transformation.

“The Mahama administration is trading the will of the people for political convenience, ”he asserted, urging Ghanaians to remain vigilant and defend the integrity of the democratic process.
