Minister for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu has stated that government considers galamsey an act of terrorism.
According to the Member of Parliament for Abura Asebu-Kwamankese Constituency, the John Dramani Mahama administration is fully committed to the fight against galamsey and will leave no stone unturned in their quest to eradicate illegal mining.
He said in an interview on TV3’s Key Points Show on Saturday, May 10, 2025, that the government considers galamsey as an act of terossim because the existence of illegal mining is a threat to the survival of Ghanaians.
“The Government considers illegal mining as terrorism because their existence is a threat to us and will be met with full force,” Felix Ofosu Kwakye said.
