Petition against Chief Justice: Why is the NPP afraid? Edudzi Tamakloe asks

A member of the legal team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Godwin Edudzi Tamakloe has urged the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) to say the crime president John Dramani Mahama has committed in the specific case of the petition against Chief Justice Gertrude Torkonoo.

According to the CEO of the National Petrouleum Authority, president Mahama has so far followed the constitution to the later in the matter of the petition against Chief Justice Gertrude Torkonoo and thus doesn’t understand why the opposition is making noise.

He urged the NPP particularly the Minority in Parliament to come out with the sins president Mahama has committed in the case and they will deal with it.

“In this matter concerning the petition against Chief Justice Gertrude Torkonoo, I don’t know what the NPP is complaining about because the constitution is clear about who should receive such a petition and that is the President and the Council of State.”

“At this point the petition is between the President and the Chief Justice so I don’t see why the NPP comes in. And I don’t know what exactly their complaint against president Mahama is so they should let us know,” Edudzi Tamakloe added.
