The NPP has suspended Christopher Arthur, its 2024 parliamentary candidate for Agona West, for violating a directive barring internal campaign activities for party positions.
Arthur allegedly convened an electoral area meeting on July 6, 2025, despite a General Secretary’s directive prohibiting such actions. The party deemed this a clear breach of regulations.
“Your action not only disregards the authority of the General Secretary but also undermines internal unity and the strategic work being done to strengthen the party ahead of the next general election,” the suspension letter read.
