NPP should have apologized to Ghanaians before embarking on the ‘Thank You’ tour. – Andy Appiah-Kubi

Former Member of Parliament of the Asante Akyem constituency, Andy Appiah-Kubi has said that the first thing the New Patriotic Party (NPP) should have done after losing the 2024 elections was to apologize for their actions in power.

According to Andy Appiah-Kubi, the Thank You Tour by the NPP was needless because it was a calculated attempts to give some candidates an undue advantage ahead of the upcoming internal primaries.

He said what the party should have done was to apologies to Ghanaians because the verdict of the 2024 elections was a clear indication that the masses were not happy about the NPP’s stewardship.

Appiah-Kubi said in an interview with UTV that even the bible says repentance precedes forgiveness so the NPP aired embarking on a Thank You Tour instead of an apology tour.

“I said the Thank You Tour was used to give an avenue to give some people undue advantage in the party. What we should have done was to apologize and not to go on a thank you tour,” he said.
