Nobody can stop me from contesting in 2028 elections – Kennedy Agyapong 

Former Member of Parliament for the Assin Central Constituency, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has said that nobody can stop him from contesting for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer position.

Kennedy Agyapong who recently announced his withdrawal from the NPP’s nationwide Thank You Tour stated that no amount of intimidation and hostility can stop him from contesting.

Addressing the media on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, Kennedy Agyapong said he has seen all the social media attacks from supporters of his opponents but that will not scare home from contesting.

He urged every NPP member to prepare for his active participation in the upcoming internal race, stressing that he is fully committed and will not back down.

HE also officially withdrew from the NPP’s ongoing “Thank You” tour, citing security concerns for his supporters.

His decision came after a violent incident on Tuesday, April 29, in which a student from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), affiliated with Unity Hall, was stabbed.
