Lawyer Maurice Ampaw has criticised Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso, Hon. Stephen Amoah, popularly known as Sticka, for publicly disclosing that he once dated the wife of the late National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Obuasi East.
According to him, such a disclosure was immature and unnecessary, particularly given the sensitivity surrounding the matter.
He said the MP’s comments should have remained private and had no relevance to the issues currently before the public.
Speaking on Wontumi TV and monitored by NewsDesksGH on November 17, Mr. Ampaw described the comments as senseless.
He argued that “Sticka didn’t help himself,” and added that “sticka did not show maturity.”
He stressed that some matters are better kept secret and questioned why the MP felt the need to reveal something nobody previously knew.
His remarks follow allegations made by radio presenter Blakk Rasta, who had accused Stephen Amoah of having an affair with Abigail Aboagye, the widow of the late Samuel Aboagye, during the ongoing dispute between her and the late officer’s family.
The Nhyiaeso MP has also admitted knowing the lady, but stressed that it had been 7 years since he knew her. He however denied having an affair with her while she was married.
The family of the former Deputy Director of NADMO, late Samuel Aboagye, is currently seeking a court order to compel Mrs. Aboagye to conduct a DNA test on their three-year-old child.o
