The Chief Executive Officer of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), Julius Neequaye Kotey, has revealed that his childhood dream was to become a Disc Jockey (DJ).

Speaking on Channel One TV with Umaru Sanda Amadu, Mr. Kotey said music was his first love. “I studied social science but growing up, it’s funny, I’ve always wanted to become a DJ,” he reminisced.

“I used to play music for Radio Gold with my brother. at the time I went by the name Logas,” he said.

However, ouching on his academic path, Julius Neequaye Kotey noted that he did not attend any journalism or broadcasting institutions and did not receive training in the field.

“In all my schooling, I didn’t even go to any school of journalism. From St. Thomas Aquinas to University of Ghana, I’m a vandal, then from there to UCC for my master’s, then came to GIMPA for another master’s,” he explained.

Reflecting on how life took him down a different career path, he said, “God does things in mysterious ways.”
