The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) have arrested a soldier for assaulting a male pharmacy attendant and a female customer at a drugstore near Burma Camp in Accra.
The military man, identified as Williams Mensah, was captured on CCTV brutally assaulting the two innocent people.
According to CCTV footage, the incident occurred on October 29, around 8:20 p.m., when the soldier who was dressed in civilian clothing entered the pharmacy to demand a refund of about ₵65 after rejecting medication he had earlier sent a younger boy to buy on his behalf.
When the attendant reportedly informed him that drugs sold could not be returned, the man became furious and physically attacked both the attendant and a female customer who had been standing there attempting to purchase something.
She then attempted to record the altercation on her phone which led to more assault.
In the CCTV footage, which has since gone viral, the man is seen slapping the two victims repeatedly before leaving the shop.
The Military Police intervened the next morning October 30, and picked up Williams Mensah.

The video has sparked widespread anger among Ghanaians online, with many demanding justice for the victims and stronger measures to prevent abuse of power by military personnel.
