Private legal practitioner, Martin Kpebu has criticized suspended Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo for appointing former Attorney General Godfred Dame as her legal counsel.
Martin Kpebu Accused Godfred Dame of misconduct and undermining the integrity of the judicial system in the case against Former Minority Leader, Dr. Ato Forson.
Kpebu in an interview on Channel One TV said Dame should have been stripped of his license to practice law against in the country because he was caught on tape trying to coach a witness to lie to the court.
He said the suspended Chief Justice as a leader of the Judiciary shouldn’t have rewarded bad behavior by retaining Godfred Dame as her legal counsel in her application for interlocutory injunction seeking to halt her suspension and the impeachment proceedings against her.
