Former Member of Parliament for the Assin Central Constituency, Kennedy Ohene Agyepong has urged the supporters of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) to unite under the big elephant for the 2028 general elections.
Kennedy Agyapong who contested in the NPP’s flagbearership race in 2024, the party will lose the elections miserably again to the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) if they don’t present a united front.
He said that even if they present Jesus Christ as their flagbearer in 2028, they will still lose the elections if they don’t stop fighting amongst themselves and present a united front.
“We can’t come back to power unless we are united. And I repeat even if we bring Jesus Christ as flagbearer, we can’t win the elections without being united. So I’m of the opinion and firm believe that with unity we can win the 2028 elections.,” Kennedy Agyapong said.
Kennedy Agyapong lost the internal flagbearership elections to former Vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in 2024 but will contest again in his bid to lead the NPP to the 2028 Presidential elections.
