Former Member of Parliament for the Odododiodio Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Ewdin Nii Lante Vanderpuye has reacted to former Vice president, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s statement that the NDC will lose the 2028 elections because they will present a new candidate.
Dr. Bawumia while engaging with NPP supporters said they have the advantage because president John Dramani Mahama won’t contest after serving his two terms and the NDC will have to present a new candidate which will be difficult for them.
Reacting to this statement, Nii Lante Vanderpuye said he would even beat Dr. Bawumia hands down should the NDC elect him as the flag bearer of the party.
“I heard Dr. Bawumia saying that the NDC will lose because we will present a new candidate in 2028. Who even told Bawumia that he will win the NPP ticket?
“If the NDC should make me the NDC should make me the flagbearer in 2028, I will beat Dr. Bawumia hands down.”
Nii Lante Vanderpuye added that once the NDC is done resetting the country, it wouldn’t matter who they present as the flagbearer, they will easily win the 2028 elections.
