I would have sacked Sammy Gyamfi if i was the President – Kenedy Agyapong

Former Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong has criticized president John Dramani Mahama’s decision not to take disciplinary action against Sammy Gyamfi over the recent dollar gift controversy.

The issue arose after a viral video showed Gyamfi giving U.S. dollars to evangelist Nana Agradaa, sparking concerns about potential legal and ethical violations.

Gyamfi defended his actions by stating that he was simply assisting someone in need, a practice he claims is part of his everyday life.

Despite public concerns, President Mahama opted not to impose further consequences, citing Gyamfi’s explanation and the caution already given.

Speaking at an event on National leadership and entrepreneurship at Central University, Agyapong argued that Gyamfi should have been dismissed immediately, asserting that clear evidence made an investigation unnecessary.

He also criticized nepotism and favouritism in public service, warning that such practices hinder national progress.
