I will not easily accept defeat during elections - Kennedy Agyapong

New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential aspirant Kennedy Agyapong has declared that he would not be a presidential candidate who easily accepts defeat.

According to Ken Agyapong, elections in Africa requirer strong willed people.

Speaking during his two-day “Unity Tour” on October 15, he said the NPP needs a leader that is capable of standing firm in the face of challenges.

“Until they read the last constituency, if I am the presidential candidate, I will never accept defeat,” he said.

“I will never accept defeat until the Electoral Commission comes out to declare.”

He explained that politics demands men of courage who can stand their ground, not those who retreat at the first sign of defeat, adding “that is not how elections are done in Africa.”

Urging delegates to back his candidacy, Kennedy Agyapong then appealed to party members to choose a bolt leader.

“Vote for a bold man!” he stressed.

Kennedy Agyapong is one of five aspirants contesting in the New Patriotic Party’s presidential primary scheduled for January 2026.

The other candidates are Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Bryan Acheampong, Yaw Osei Adutwum, and Kwabena Agyei Agyepong.
