Hajia Amina Adams likely to win against other NDC candidates by 58% – Global Info Analytics poll

Executive Director of Global Info Analytics, Mussa Dankwah, shared the results of some polls on his Facebook page, showing strong voter support for Hajia Amina Adams ahead of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primaries and the Ayawaso East by-election.

These polls reflected that Hajia Amina Adams, the widow of the late Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso East Constituency, Mahama Naser Toure, tops the poll of voter preference primaries amongst NDC candidates vying for the Ayawaso East seat.

In a first post on February 5, Mussa Dankwah posted a poll image titled “NDC Primaries – Voters Preference.” The survey focused on aspirants contesting the National Democratic Congress (NDC) primaries in the Ayawaso East constituency.

The poll results showed that within the NDC field of aspirants, Hajia Amina Adams, widow of the late Member of Parliament, emerged with a clear lead over her competitors.

The votes recorded were:

Hajia Amina Adams – 58%

Hon. Baba Jamal – 32%

Hon. Muhammed Ramne – 5%

Dr. Yakubu Azindow – 3%

Najib Muhammed Sani – 2%

“In the Ayawaso East, voters prefer Hajia Amina Adams to lead NDC for the March 2026 by-election according to a new poll,” Mr. Dankwah wrote.

In another post shortly after which showed two more polls, he wrote, “In the by-election, Hajia Amina Adams likely to win Ayawaso East.”

The first poll reflected a contest between Hon. Baba Jamal of the NDC, who followed behind Hajia Amina in the previous poll, against Baba NPP candidate Ali Baba.

In this poll Baba Jamal polled 67%, while Baba Ali secured 33%.

However, the next poll showed Hajia Amina Adams matched against the NPP candidate.

The margin grew significantly, with Hajia Amina Adams polled 73%, compared to 27% for Baba Ali, suggesting a greater chance at victory.

Hajia Amina Adams, whose late husband the former MP passed away on January 4, 2026, officially declared her intention to contest the seat on January 22, 2026, stating that she was “answering the call” of her constituents to continue her late husband’s legacy.

The National Democratic Congress parliamentary primaries for the Ayawaso East constituency are scheduled to be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026.
