Ghanaian rap icon, Michael Owusu Addo popularly know has Sarkodie has reacted to the recent failed assassination attempt on Captain Ibrahim Traore, the president of Burkina Faso.
Captain Ibrahim Traore has reportedly survived over 19 assassination attempts since taking over as the president of Burkina Faso and many have pointed fingers at the West.
Though he came to power through a coup, his approach of improving the lives of his people has made him popular on the African continent with many youths praising his stewardship.
However, with another reported assassination attempt on his life after the US openly criticized his leadership, African youths on social media have a begun a campaign aimed at telling the West Countries to mind their business.
Sarkodie has joined such calls as he tweeted “God protect Ibrahim Traore.”
The tweet of the Ghanaian rap icon has added a voice to the campaign as over 50,000 X users have reacted to it.
