The final funeral rites of the late Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III, which concluded on Thursday, September 18, drew thousands of mourners and well-wishers in attendance.
The ceremony brought together many people from all walks of life to pay their last respects to the revered Queen mother, who passed away on August 7, 2025, at the age of 98.
Among the notable figures present were President John Dramani Mahama, former Presidents Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and John Agyekum Kufuor, former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and former Second Lady Samira Bawumia, former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, Inspector General of Police Christian Tetteh Yohunu, among many others.

Asantehemaa Nana Konadu Yiadom III died on the 7th of August at 98 and was finally laid to rest yesterday.
All activities in the Ashanti region ceased for the day in honour of the late Queen, who served for 8 years.
The four-day funeral rites were marked by rich cultural displays, drumming, dancing, and captivating traditional rituals.
Beyond the funeral grounds, many Ghanaians have also taken to social media to share their condolences and tributes.
Others also praised the rich display of culture displayed during the four day celebration of life of the late Asantehemaa.
