The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially released funds to all Senior High Schools (SHS) and Senior High Technical Schools (SHTS) across the country to cover the costs of the 2025 WASSCE practical examinations.
In a press release dated July 26, 2025, and signed by Daniel Fenyi, Head of Public Relations at GES, the Service stated that the payment aims to ensure that all scheduled practical exams for the 2025 WASSCE are adequately supported. This includes the provision of essential materials and other necessary resources for successful administration.
GES emphasized that the timely release of these funds is intended to promote a smooth, well-coordinated examination process. The move is expected to allow students to concentrate on their academic performance without being distracted by financial pressures, especially on parents and guardians.
Regional, district, and school authorities have been strongly advised to ensure that the funds are applied strictly for their intended purpose. The statement highlighted that GES management will continue to monitor how the funds are utilized, reinforcing accountability, efficiency, and high standards in administering the exams.
The Ghana Education Service expressed appreciation to all stakeholders for their continued cooperation in promoting quality education and reiterated its commitment to providing a supportive environment that fosters student success.
