The Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC) has projected a 6-9% increase in fuel prices for the second pricing window of July 2025, effective July 16, 2025. According to COPEC’s analysis, the mean pump retail price of petrol is expected to rise by 6.47% to GHS13.26 per liter, while diesel prices may increase by 9.30% to GHS14.18 per liter (from GHS12.97/L).

Petrol is projected to increase by 6.47% with a mean price of GHS13.26 per liter, selling between GHS12.60 and GHS13.92 per liter while Diesel is to increase by 9.30% from the current mean price of GHS12.97 per liter.
Also, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) will decrease by 0.45% with a projected retail price of GHS11.55 per kilogram, selling between GHS10.97 and GHS12.12 per kilogram.

Despite a 4.89% drop in crude oil prices from $74.43 to $70.79 per barrel and a 0.47% depreciation of the Ghanaian cedi from GHS10.5288 to GHS10.5785 per dollar, fuel prices are expected to rise due to the implementation of a GHS1 Energy Sector shortfall and debt repayment levy.

COPEC cautions that final pump prices may vary within a ±5% margin of estimates, depending on actual market movements.
