The Ghana National Fire Service has deployed multiple fire crews to contain a fire outbreak at Bubuashie, around the busy Atiko Junction area in Accra.
According to initial reports, three fire tenders from the Industrial Area, Circle, and National Headquarters fire stations are already on the ground, working intensively to bring the blaze under control.
A fourth fire engine from the Dansoman Fire Station is currently en route to reinforce the ongoing firefighting efforts.
Firefighters are battling the flames amid efforts to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby structures, given the densely populated nature of the area.
As of now, there has been no official confirmation regarding casualties or the cause of the fire. Authorities say investigations will be conducted once the situation is fully contained.
