Ecobank rewarded over 3,600 customers today during the first draw of its 5-Star Enjoyment Promo, held in partnership with the National Lottery Authority (NLA).
Thousands of winners received rewards of up to GH₵10,000 in cash, insurance covers, gift cards, fuel cards, and airtime as part of Ecobank’s effortsto give back to loyal customers.
Head of Brands and Marketing, Regina Ofori, speaking at the draw which took place on December 12, at the Ecobank branch in Osu, expressed appreciation to customers for their continued support.
“Over the last month we’ve had many customers depositing with us, taking loans from us, transacting on our flagship digital channels that we have, and so today we are here to say thank you to them,” she said.
“Thank you for shopping with us when you pay with your card and thank you for taking a loan with us when you think of an emergency and thank you for depositing with us when you think of saving,” she added.
She further noted that customer loyalty motivates the bank to deliver innovative and world-class banking services.
“That loyalty inspires us all the time to continue to innovate, and offer world-class banking solution for Ghanaians including yourself,” she said.
Regina Ofori also encouraged non-customers to join the bank to become eligible to participate in the ongoing promotion.
“The opportunity is not lost at all because this is just the first draw. So today we have rewards for customers that transacted in the month of November, and therefore the December reward will happen in January. So if you’re not even banking with us, this is your golden opportunity to come to us. The January reward will happen in February.”
How to win
Ecobank’s Head of Liabilities, Jerry Siaw Lash, outlined the three simple criteria for customers to qualify for the promo.
“The first one is deposit 400 cedis and earn yourself a point. If you want to improve or grow your points, you deposit multiples of the 400 cedis.”
He continued, “If you have a conversation with us and you want a loan, a minimum of 4,000 Ghana cedis earns you a point. So the higher the amount you take as a loan in multiples of 4,000, you get to grow your points through that.”
He added that the final way is by using Ecobank’s digital banking transactions.
“While you’re enjoying convenience in transacting your everyday business with the bank, you also earn yourself a point. So every four transactions that you do on our digital platforms you earn yourself a point. The digital platforms are our Ecobank mobile app, Ecobank online, our USSD and also using our card products.”

She assured customers that the NLA validates all entries before they are placed in the random generator system.
“Normally I know that people get confused about these things and say that ‘someone has already put a person in there’ or anything like that, but I want to assure everyone that what we do is free and fair. We as the regulators ensure that the data we get from Ecobank is without any friends and family.”
