Dr. Omane Boamah was a master planner – Rashid Tanko Computer

The Deputy Director of Elections and IT for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr Sofo Tanko Rashid-Computer, has described the late Minister for Defence Dr. Edward Omane Boamah as a master planner.

According to Tanko-Computer, the late Defence Minister knew how to plan strategies that were able to get the best out of his team.

He recalled that on the morning of the helicopter crash, they had met with Dr. Omane Boamah to discuss strategies for Akwatia.

“Dr Omane was a master planner… he will sit down, put pen and paper together and map up the strategy”

He said Dr. Omane Boamah would then assign tasks and sit back, “And we will go and bring him A+”

He added that they had completed their assignments that morning and were scheduled to report back to Dr. Omane Boamah by evening, unaware that he would be travelling that day.

Defence Minister Dr. Edward Omane Boamah sadly perished in the helicopter crash, which happened last week on August 6, leading to the death of 8 people.

The other people that perished are Environment Minister Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator Alhaji Muniru Mohammed, NDC Vice Chairman Dr. Samuel Sarpong, former parliamentary candidate Samuel Aboagye, and Air Force crew members Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, Flying Officer Manin Twum-Ampadu, and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah.
