The Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Social Investment Fund, Abass Nurudeen has alleged that the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Bosiako widely known as Chairman Wontumi is part of an International Grand Theft Auto syndicate.
Abass Nurudern alleged that most of the luxury cars like the Bentley flying spur and Corvette that Chairman Wontumi has been using are all stolen vehicles from USA, Canada and other parts of the world.
In an interview with Accra-based Okay FM, Nurudeen said even the car Chairman Wontumi used when he went to the Criminal investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service are all stolen cars.
Abass Nurudeen’s comments come on the back of the statement made by Deputy Attorney General, Justice Srem-Sai that Wontumi is currently under investigation for fraud, money laundering, and causing financial loss to the state.
